Below are 10 examples of the image below modified using a freeware plugin. Each is a thumbnail, click on them and you'll see a larger version. Personally, I like example4 the best but that's my taste. There is no end to the type of border you can create, all you need is imagination. Once you get this down pat you'll be able to create images with several sets of borders which can be quite stunning if done right.
There are many tutorials on the net in regards to framing an image, just to a search and you'll find many different and interesting techniques.
