This page deals with images that are mostly black & white or are grayscale... Once again, the PNG and GIF win out here... The compressed JPGs muddle the colors and make them less crisp and clear... Notice the files sizes too...       And take note that the most compressed PaintShop Pro image is not very good looking so be careful when using your compression! Be sure to save an image in bmp format and compress from there so that if you make a big mistake when compressing you have not lost all of your work and wind up having to start from scratch!       PNG is a newer format that most software can now handle, it is very good when it comes to compression though at times you have to watch the file size because sometimes when you have a PNG and JPG that look similar or a PNG and GIF that look similar you will find that the PNG has a significantly larger file size... Experiment to find which is best...
